“Superb B&B”
Very friendly B&B five minute’s walk from the sea front in one direction and five minutes to the town centre and station in the other. Amazing value, for what it offers. Good quality breakfast, unobtrusive service, very peaceful, spotless rooms.
Don’t overlook South Shields as a place to stay on Tyneside. Lots of eating places, superb old fashioned pubs (try the Steamboat or Stags Head) and less than half-an-hour from the centre of Newcastle on the Metro, or the ferry will take you north of the river.

My husband and I stayed at this Guest House on 24th – 26th May. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Rooms are all clean. Breakfast was wonderful. We have booked up for July – it’s like home from home – thank you so much.

“Friendly and a home from home”
I live in Aberdeen and normally stay in your usual hotel chain places when down to see family. Had trouble getting booked somewhere and tried Lorraines It was a pleasure to meet the hosts as they are helpful. Due to this I am returning to the same accommodation. The whole place is spotless and you get a canny Breakfast!!!

Spotless clean rooms, great breakfast
I stayed in South Shore Guest House with my husband for a weekend, we were very impressed with the room & facilities.
We found the staff helpful & pleasant nothing was too much trouble for them, the room was spotless clean, with central heating & a shower in our room, lovely fluffy towels were provided.
We chose to have a full English for our breakfast in the morning, there were cereals, fruit & juices too, in fact enough to set you up for the day.
South Shields is a very pleasant seaside town with parks & a lovely beach, there are plenty of different places to eat in the evening.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in South Shields it is a small & friendly home from home hotel.
